This loft conversion in a small terraced house is within Permitted Development. To increase the height of the new room and to have uninterrupted view of the park behind the garden the rear dormer runs the whole width of the house. By lifting the roof structure for the rear dormer it was possible to have a straight flight of stair. The open stair treads enables the daylight from the dormer to light the corridor at first floor.
